the other day i was discussing the word "orange" with a student, the fact that no word rhymes with it. well, he was sure something did and he was going to look it up in the dictionary. i explained that unless it was a rhyming dictionary it wouldn't help much, but he tried anyway. after a few minutes he looked up, straight faced, and said, "so orgasm is a real word, i though my brother just made it up." when you work with 10 year olds, comments like these are what get you through the day
